Pittsburgh NORML supports NORML’s mission of moving public opinion sufficiently to achieve the repeal of marijuana prohibition so that the responsible use of cannabis by adults is no longer subject to criminal sanction. To that end we are working in Western Pennsylvania to build support for medicinal marijuana laws and the repeal of marijuana criminal statutes.

About Pittsburgh NORML
Pittsburgh NORML is a local chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws. We formed our chapter in October, 2009, after activists in Pittsburgh learned that Pennsylvania’s first medicinal marijuana bill had been introduced in the Pennsylvania House.
Executive Director Patrick Nightingale has testified in hearings held by the PA House Health and Human Services Committee and has frequently been asked to comment on cannabis and cannabis reform issues in the local print, radio and television media.
Pittsburgh NORML is working to educate our fellow Western Pennsylvanians about marijuana, its potential medical and industrial uses, and about the current laws prohibiting marijuana possession and distribution.
Pittsburgh NORML is an officially recognized affiliate of NORML, The National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws.
