The results from the 2014 mid-term elections are in and it was a pretty good year for Republicans and cannabis reform. While the GOP took control of the United States Senate for the first time during the current Administration, a funny green plant took root in Washington, DC, as the City joined Oregon and Alaska in legalizing marijuana possession. Florida’s medical initiative failed by the slimmest of margins, and here in the Commonwealth we elected a Governor who has pledged to move quickly on medicinal marijuana and decriminalization of small amounts.
Future Rhode Island Governor smokes on camera and vows support and major changes. Finally some truth in politics!
I'm Charlo Greene, the president and CEO of the Alaska Cannabis Club - Alaska's only legal medical marijuana resource. I just quit my news reporting job on live TV to announce that I am redirecting all of my energy toward helping to end a failed drug policy that has ruined the lives of far too many Americans.
Campaign for Compassion will be hosting a rally and press conference outside of the Pennsylvania State Capitol in Harrisburg. Please save the date! We want to pack the grounds and send a powerful message to the General Assembly and their Leadership that we want action on SB1182, the Compassionate Use of Cannabis Act, immediately! What better time to send that message than their first day back in session? Through the Fall, the GA has roughly 12 session days to move this important piece of legislation. C4C urges all concerned PA citizens to attend this rally in the hopes that we will be able to urge them to act quickly!
